Ivan Lukšíček graduated from Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Transportation Sciences, and from Masaryk University in Brno, Faculty of Informatics, in the program Applied informatics.
During his university studies, he started working as a patent attorney assistant of Ing. Dušan Kendereški. At the beginning, his praxis focused mainly on patent law, design protection and searches in the industrial property rights databases, however, he gradually broadened the scope of his actions to other fields of industrial property protection.
In 2006, he finished his two-year specialization study at the Industrial Property Office in Prague and a year later, he passed a comprehensive examination in the field of protection of rights related to the results of inventive technical activities and designation rights. In 2008, he started to provide services as a patent attorney.
Since 2015, he has been a member of Association of Mediators and Arbitrators in intellectual property matters and Licensing Executives Society Czech Republic (LES ČR).
In the present, he focuses on the study of representation praxis before the European Patent Office. He also gives lectures in the field of industrial rights.
Besides the Intellectual Property Office in Prague, he is also entitled to represent clients before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO), where he represents clients from the commercial as well as academic sphere.
